About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

Quite a Christmas

Snuggling on Christmas morning, with us above and below with Honey.

I'll start from the end and go backwards...Unfortunately, I forgot my camera charger and the battery died on Christmas morning. Ugh. I did get some great shots beforehand, though.

Lee and I with Tyler, Lee's younger brother, off to mass at St.Bede to hear Victor say the homily.

Lee's parents treated us to a "Calloway Garden Lights Extravaganza"! On Friday, Decemeber 23, we rode in an amazing limo to Pine Mountain, Georgia. The girls loved every minute! Here they are, hanging out the window admiring the breath-taking show. It was so well planned and orchestrated, taking almost an hour to drive through.

Our "carriage" to the Light Show, below. People awed at us, thinking we were celebrities! Ha!

Hanging out inside the limo...

On Wednesday night, Lee and I got to sneak away for drinks and dinner, below. On Wednesday morning, Uncle Lee showed McRae who is boss.

On Monday the 19th, before leaving Greenville, Danielle hosted a cookie exchange for all of our playgroup friends. So fun! And what amazing bakers we have in our midst!

Reindeer cookies, gingerbreads, smores cookies, sugar cookies, chocolate cherry cookies....

The girls enjoyed every morsel of cookie!

All in all, it was a fantastic week full of great time with friends and family! Can't believe that 2011 is now almost complete!?

A Carlisle Wedding

Lee's Grandmother, Gran, once owned and operated her own Dance Studio in Alex City, AL. Her skills still shine brightly! Gran and Melba, enjoying the food at the reception.

The bride with Ford Phelan, a ring bearer.

Lee's Dad, Tyler (his brother), Lee's Mom, and Lee during the reception

Diamond Rio played in the middle of the reception. They were amazing and I sang my heart out at each and every song...

The Chapel where the wedding was held.

Me and Lee, leaving The Grand Hotel for the wedding.

Lee and I had the privilege of going to Fairhope, AL last weekend to witness in the union of our first cousin, Maury Carlisle wed Nikki Pilot. It was a grand affair, resplendent with so much family and love, amazing food, drink and festivities. Held on the Pilot family property, the ceremony was in a lovely rough-hewn chapel and the reception was in the neighboring horse stables and tent. It was truly spectacular...and Maury and Nikki couldn't have been more in love. We want to thank Lee's parents and my mom for making the weekend possible for us! Here are a few of the photos from the weekend.

Spicy meatball and Soy sauce

Nicknames have a tendency to stick... Thanks, Mom, for these two lovely ones for my angel girls(Sull is the spicy one!). Sullivan is now proudly announcing them around town and addressing her sister as "Soy".

REI

This morning we visited for the first time our new outdoor store REI. Sullivan loved it, shrieking with delight at the hanging bikes and gear. Staring at upright canoes, she exclaimed, "Mommy, they have rocketships!" Oh, to see the world from her perspective!
