About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

Rah Rah Girls

The girls enjoyed running around before halftime.

Sawyer was getting sleepy.

Trying to be like Sissy.

On the field! I couldn't get any good shots, but they were adorable and had so much fun.

Last Friday night the Lower school girls had an opportunity to cheer with the Varsity Cheerleaders at halftime during the football game.

They had a cheer clinic the previous week and learned quite a bit. It was a very late night for us ( Sawyer was spent!) but Sullivan enjoyed the thrill of it!

ABC...Magic!

This is a recent favorite. I finally got a true smile!

Hello Kitty face-painting at a recent birthday party.

Rock climbing at the same party above, and cheering on Alabama below.

Sullivan is about 1.5 months into Kindergarten and the reading has begun! I have been really looking forward to her learning to read and it is happening now. I remember the magical feeling of the "click" when the words you see finally register. It was an exciting time for me then and it is now as a parent. The class is making small paper books with their sight words and sending them home...watching her sound out her words and flip the pages and that precious, "proud-of-me" grin that comes afterward is truly priceless. Go Sullivan!

School days

Rocking out on the guitar after school.

Sawyer and friends, Cates (left) and Kate (right) just before their school blessing in the church. Below, laden with backpack and milk, Sawyer marches into preschool.

We are getting settled into our daily school routine, which I love. There is something about a new school year and the set program of school life that I like so much. The girls are both doing well at their respective schools and are just so darn cute as they get dressed and head off to their school day. Sawyer goes three days a week and it is striking the right balance for us all.
I hope that your school year is off to a great start!

Me and my birthday girl!

My dad, "Waylo", with Sawyer.

She was just precious watching everyone sing to her!

Gigi!

At Corsino's celebrating my birthday on Friday night.

Mama made a spectacular devils food +peanut butter cake. Killer!

I think Sawyer consumed more calories than ever before! She usually doesn't love sweets, but she was crazy about this chocolate icing.

We have been in full birthday central lately! I had my birthday last Friday night and Sawyer turned 3 on the 8th. We had a family party at home on Saturday morning for her and all went well.  Happy birthday, princesita!

We had a free moment before church yesterday and Lee snapped these photos of me and my girls. Thank you, Lee!
