About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

Halloween 2013

In the car for school.

Posing with friend, Sailor, during the school parade.

The kid's table and food plate in the Kindergarten class.

Me and my Super Girl!

Sawyer's 2yr old classroom party plate! How cute is this! Thank you, Jenny!

Super Girls!

Below, trick or treating with our friend Paul and family in our neighborhood.

We had a very nice, low key Halloween this year! I helped with both classroom parties and they went over smoothly and I think both Kindergarten and 2yr olds had a blast with their games and special party foods like donut hole eyeballs and mummy hotdogs. Later, we got to trick or treat with our friends, the Johnsons, which was wonderful and easy. Sullivan sprinted from house to house and fully embraced the activity of collecting goodies. Sawyer did her best to keep up with the big kids! We had a great day!

Pumpkin patch

In the patch!

The girls with Paul and Porter Johnson.

Last Sunday I took the girls to Dreamfield Farm to a classmate's birthday party. It was a crisp, beautiful afternoon and they loved finding mini pumpkins, taking a hayride, seeing animals and playing in a sandbox full of corn kernels! Happy fall, y'all!

Boyfriends

The girls are cracking me up lately with lots of talk about boys! Already??? Yikes!
Sawyer announced to our neighbor this morning that a Will from school is her boyfriend and recently Sullivan has been telling me all sorts of things like "I want to marry two boys from my class, but I can only marry one, right?" and even asking about babies and being married and which comes first...oh my goodness.
Both just light up around a few certain boys that we know and it is just too cute!
Mama even told me a grandmother of a little boy in Sullivan's class reported to her that Sullivan was his girlfriend...

I think Lee is already polishing and prepping shot guns...bless him.

Exploring

Swinging together at the park.

In Brent's Drugs, the actual soda shop in The Help.

Cruising the new library...

We have gotten stir crazy with all the unpacking and the heat and have ventured out into town...we explored our gorgeous neighborhood, new preschool, downtown, Brent's Drugs, Primo's cafe, Winner's Circle Park and library, as well as Millsaps College. Jackson is turning on the charm!

Bathing Beauties

We've had a big day! We took the girls to the Atlanta Aquarium and now have returned home to play in the sprinkler and eat watermelon. Nice.

Twirling Tuesdays

At present, our Tuesdays look like this:
-piyo class at the gym for me, 9:15a
-dance class for Sullivan across town at 11:30a
-chickfila at 12:40p with dance friends
It is a busy, long morning but very fun...exercise+french fries are two of my favorite things! And watching Sawyer eat her ice cream face first (without a spoon) and seeing Sullivan bounce about in her leotard just makes it even better.

Us while we watch Sullivan dance...

Ice dream...

-Sullivan not wanting her picture taken.
