Gym Class Hero

My own Little Gym class hero had her "performance day" recently at the end of season and showed off her new skills at tap, ballet and gymnastics. She even received her first "award", as they present each student with a medal of completion.  She learned so much and reports that she would like to continue taking all three types of class.
Sullivan loved it all and so did Sawyer...during the performance, as I was trying to take a picture of Sullivan, Sawyer escaped from my grasp and ran over to a mat, placed her head on it and tried to do a forward roll! Needless to say, Sawyer performed that day as well.

Sullivan really wowed us with this lion just now...maybe I should look into SCAD already???

School days

Sullivan has made some great friends at school this year! Here she is below with some of them at their "3k Fun Day" event last Friday. They have learned much more than I expected in this class, from tracing the whole alphabet, tracing her name and now writing her name independently, knowing many shapes and even doing simple math along with colors, counting, rhyming and Bible and scripture lessons.

Brave

Sullivan did quite well at the dreaded 4 year check up yesterday, handling probes, prods and shots with little protest. Tearfully,upon leaving, she asked to go home and read books and have quiet time. So sweet! She also came home with a precious Mother's Day card from school with one of her first signatures on it...I love you, Sullivan, and am so proud of how brave you were!

Backyard busy-ness

Twirling Tuesdays

At present, our Tuesdays look like this:
-piyo class at the gym for me, 9:15a
-dance class for Sullivan across town at 11:30a
-chickfila at 12:40p with dance friends
It is a busy, long morning but very fun...exercise+french fries are two of my favorite things! And watching Sawyer eat her ice cream face first (without a spoon) and seeing Sullivan bounce about in her leotard just makes it even better.
