A Particular Princess

Our little Sullivan is growing up and developing a sense of distaste for many things. She is indeed particular at times and this photo, snapped by my friend Lauren at a recent birthday party, really embodies this delicate disposition of hers. Lord, give me the strength and patience to manage all this "little girl drama!" Ah!

I got Sawyer all dressed up last Friday as we went to read to Sullivan's class at school. She looks so grown up here! The reading went so well... Not much cuter than a talkative class of almost 4 year-olds!

Daddy's girls

Lately, the girls are becoming more and more affectionate with their Daddy that loves them so much. We have struggled a bit (especially on difficult rotations when he is away often...) with them allowing Lee to help with the day-to-day routines. However, I am happy to report that he has been home more often as of late and Sullivan especially is "letting him in", so to speak. Thankfully, Sawyer is and has been very much enamored...

They are so lucky to have Lee as their father!

Sullivan had her second "parent observation" ballet class recently, which is simply a little showing for the parents of all of the things that they have been learning. She is really loving it, displaying her new moves to any patient audience. I hope to find a class for her to continue in Jackson, this coming fall.

My little Valentine

Sullivan's class had a Valentine's Day Parent Breakfast on Monday. I was so glad to be there and see her at her desk and interacting with her friends and the classroom space that she tells me so much about. Her sweet and talented teacher once again came through with a photo for us. Unfortunately it is quite rare to have a pic of me with Sullivan it seems (I am forever the photographer) so this one is so special to me. Happy Valentine's Day!

Pizza

Both of my girls ate pizza today. A small victory, but a step in the right direction of trying new things...but I do know now that children can survive on milk, yogurt and fruit alone.

Salon de belleza

Took the girls to their first "salon" haircut. Sullivan loved every moment! Ms. Ashlee even gave Sullivan "princess curls"!
