About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

The last day of First Grade

What a great year it has been! Here our dear friend, neighbor and carpool buddy, Porter, smiles with our Sull as they leave this year behind and look forward to second grade!
They have made huge strides in math, reading and writing! (And lost a few teeth and grown a few inches as well! )

Sawyer's 1st dance performance

Sawyer really is enjoying ballet with Ms. Kate! She was quite serious and attentive during her program yesterday...we are so proud and excited for her!

Greer at 9mos

Our little man was 9mos on 4/23 and is now 21lbs and grew 2in in 3mos! This puts him in the 85% for height and 70% for weight. He is just about to take off crawling any moment now, pulls up with help, cruises a bit, pushes and rolls about. He is busy! He has 6 teeth and more are emerging. He babbles mama and dada and is smiley and happy. He loves rope, balls and cups and tearing up paper. He is interested in eating solids more than drinking his milk. We are dropping bottles and using cups already. He is growing up quicker than I would like!

Muffins with Mom

Last Friday Sawyer's class held a Mother's Day party and she presented me with some heartfelt gifts. There also was a questionnaire about me that she answered...did you know that I am 22, love pies and like to watch commercials in my free time?
Her answers were priceless.

Robins nesting at our house

Amazingly, two families of robins have nested on our home front! One is above precariously perched on our front porch pendant. The other is nestled in a palm tree off our back porch. It has been so neat to get a close view of mama robin making her nest, laying eggs and sitting on them and now feeding egg hatchling one by one with worms and insects. Wow!
