About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

Our 9th wedding Anniversary

At the Florida Georgia Line concert.

This June 18 marked our 9th year as a married couple. We were able to have a very fun night out at dinner and a concert and later in the week got to go out for another meal. I am so glad we've gotten the chance to celebrate, be thankful for these years together and to pause and reflect on the exciting year we are in right now, 34 weeks along with Baby Boy.

Baby Boy Sprinkle

Gigi-made cookies!

Posing with Lauren and Mom.

Loot!

Above, dear Katie Agnew came in from Nashville for the event. Below, gorgeous hydrangeas.

My thoughtful sister and 11 other sweet friends threw our Baby Boy a beautiful "sprinkle" last Saturday morning at my sister's home. So many dear friends were able to attend and several traveled to make it ( thank you, Christy, Kristen and Katie!!!)
We had yummy poppyseed chicken, salad and fruit as well as my Mom's cookies and cafe Louisa's bites. Baby Boy received previous clothing, bibs, blankets, books and even a new hi-tech swing and a convertible 6-in-1 stroller. Thank you, hostesses, for such a very special party!
More pics to come.

Beach trip 2014

Our attempt at a family photo!?

This past weekend my parents joined the four us in Destin, Fl, for a long weekend. Despite rain and clouds, we had a great time at our Hidden Dunes cottage. The girls both loved the beach and pool and Lee got to fish. With three helpful adults around, I also got a chance to put my feet up a good bit. At 31weeks along, I was most grateful.

On stage for her school play.

Sawyer and friends await their end of school party.

Yum!

Painting with watercolors.

Both girls had a very exciting last week of school! Sullivan performed in her school play with a large speaking role and Sawyer had a fun lunch party at preschool. Summer...here we come!

Simple fun

Whether it's a dip in the pool, a car wash or a Lego table, sometimes the most fun is had over simple things.
Happy Memorial Day!

Mother's Day 2014

Sullivan and Ann Lane in their class.

Posing by the book the class created. Below, having muffins with Sawyer's group.

Last Friday, both of my girls' classes had special morning events for Moms. I was so glad that I got to be there and see their sweet creations, gifts and songs.
It was a wonderful way to begin the weekend!

Big weekend

We threw my sweet friend Amy a baby shower for her baby girl on the way this past Saturday at my house.  Hostesses Laura, me, Honoree Amy, and Julia are pictured above. My mom and sister also helped, but weren't able to attend. We had a great turnout and beautiful, crisp weather. Amy received so many beautiful baby girl things. It was a great morning!

The spread in the dining room.

Amy with her sister-in-law, Kate.

Me and Amy! She is due June 12 and I am due August 1.

Amy and her Mom.

Saturday evening we went to the outdoor Gala at the Fitzgerald Museum just down the street. It was done in full 20's style and there was a brass band playing period music, people dressed in their finery, a silent auction and beautiful weather. Such a nice night!

Our friends, The Mraziks (the brothers pictured here on the left) joined us.

Birds of prey from the zoo made an appearance as well. Odd, but interesting to learn about and see up close.
Tanya Terry, an anchor from our local WSFA news (on the right) was there and I sneaked a pic with her and this other girl as they posed! :) She was so lovely and nice!
Whew! What a big weekend!
