About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

Taekwondo

This is Sullivan's second for year of taekwondo class. She is really loving it and just received her camo level belt. She loves the idea of protecting herself and I think it is great for the self-discipline and self-confidence. Hopefully Sawyer will join her in the afterschool class next year.

Popsicle party

We are fortunate to live on a street with about 15 children under age 9 as neighbors. The other night we all got together on someone's front porch to have Popsicles. We love our home and our sweet neighborhood!

Sawyer' ballet recital

Last Wednesday Sawyer had a special ballet performance for parents and grandparents. Sawyer seems to really enjoy the ballet and we are thrilled for her!

Sawyer's graduation from preschool

On May 27 Sawyer had her graduation from Ascension Day school. It was a special morning where she had her own lines to speak and many songs to sing. Lauren and her children were able to join us and celebrate this momentous milestone for our dear Sawyer girl, heading off to kindergarten.

Greer at 21mos

We are living with a little bit of a Tasmanian devil these days as Greer is so busy, curious and destructive. He throws everything, he finds everything, he searches, he tears things up. Just today I was at my wits end trying to do a few errands with him in tow. I think I better lay low from taking him to the stores for a good long while, as each step of our journey can be a challenge. He won't sit or stand in the buggy and constantly throws my shopping items out of the cart. Have mercy!

Despite all of his curiosity and energy, he is a sweet soul who is loving, kind and expressive with his emotions. His language is really taking off and he is in a moment of repeating "how, wow" or "beep beep" and such. He probably has about 15-20 word approximations and does communicate his wishes pretty well.

He has developed a sweet tooth and begs for sweets, even scours the house and kitchen for candy, especially in the girls' rooms. He just went through his daddy's desk and found gum. What are we going to do with him???

Sullivan's first communion

Sullivan made her first communion this past Saturday. It was a special morning with our whole extended family there and she wore the dress my mom made for both of my sister and I when we had our first communion. We are so excited for her to now more fully participate in our faith through this integral sacrament.

Eagle Day 2016

The school field day was another huge success this year with a special second-grade cardinal girls' breakfast at our house. Cardinal ruled the day and we all had a great time at the carnival.
