About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

Samantha and me, fellowship wives.

Sam, me and Cristy...fellowship wives that are all pregnant with our third child, Sam is 25wks, I am 20wks and Cristy is 15wks. What are the chances!?

Looking at Jackson Square and the Cathedral.

The view of the city from the top of our Hotel Monteleone.

Lee and I just returned from a quick trip to New Orleans for a big national conference for Orthopedists. It was a busy, bustling event of thousands in the French Quarter and brought people from all over our medical journey together. We were able to see friends from Medical School, residency and fellowship. While Lee was away attending the event, I got to visit dear friends from home that live in the city, Judith Ann and Courtney, and then shop and play with girlfriends, Shane, Danielle and Elizabeth. At night we had beautiful seafood meals at fantastic places around the Quarter, like GW Fins, Peche and Herbsaint. And it was so great to reunite with our fellowship friends, the Hurts and Stiefels, to find that we are all expecting again!
Thank you, Mom and Dad, for caring for our girls and making the trip possible!

Baby #3 is...

A boy!
We are over the moon!

As many have said, this little boy will have three mommies!

A clean bill of health was also a very much answered prayer.

Here he is above, sucking his thumb during the ultrasound.

Now...for a name and a nursery!

Kristin poses with her Mom, sister and Grandmother. Below, I pose with my Mom.

Last Saturday, we celebrated Kristin Bentley Smith and her firstborn, a baby girl due in May. It was wonderful to see many high school friends and finally be present at these local, special events that I missed for almost a decade. The party was lovely and filled with yummy food and gorgeous baby things! Congratulations Kristin and Andrew!!!

Backseat reading

We have had the best time getting to know Porter, our neighbor and Sullivan's classmate this year. Mary, his mom, has become a dear friend of mine and I am grateful to have their sweet family in our lives. Above, the kids read their
High Five magazines during carpool...adorable.

It girl

This morning at school, Ms. Lisa told me that the boys are flirting with Sawyer...that she is the "it girl" at the moment in the late two's class.
And that she is flirting back.

Yikes.
