About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

Cruising the Taekwondo floor at Sullivan's camp and below, Sawyer rocks her swim lessons at the Y.
My Blog app on my phone hasn't been working well and thus, it has been hard to keep up blogging as it now means that I need to sit down at my computer. This has been a challenge this summer! Hopefully, new apps will come and I can get back up to speed. In the meantime, here are a few other shots from our summer-time lives.

Georgia Acquarium

I was able to take the girls to Atlanta to be with our sweet friends the Kennas in early August. We enjoyed our hotel, the northpoint mall and the beautiful creatures in the Aquarium. They especially lived the dolphins, otters and dragon fish, above.

Sawyer, age 4.5

My precious Sawyer is getting so big as she approaches Pre-K! She is busy this summer taking Spanish and soccer lessons at preschool, swim classes and creating all sorts of art and fun at home. She is still our precious baby Kitty Cat and loves to pretend, direct play and imagine.

The Tank

This is my little man at 11mos giving himself his bottle right before bed. He looks ENORMOUS in this picture and I am so glad that I asked Lee to take this shot so I can see what we look like as I tote him around. He still feels quite small and cuddly to me most of the time. I can't believe his first year has come and gone!

Sullivan La exploradora

Can you make out the teeny tiny little baby lizard that she has caught??? She has become quite the catcher of many reptiles this summer. Lizard or frog or toad beware! Sullivan can get you ever so quick!

San Diego

Our anniversary night dinner at Searsucker restaurant.
The view of the city from Coronado Island across the Bay.
The city lights from the pedestrian skywalk in the Gaslamp district.
Taking the ferry to Coronado Island to visit Hotel Del Coronado. Below, our Hilton Bayfront from the Bay view on the ferry.

During June 17-21 Lee and I were able to go to San Diego for a shoulder arthroscopy course and to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary on June 18. It was truly a second honeymoon and we had four slow days and wonderful nights of long, relaxed meals at fabulous restaurants. I enjoyed exercising, walking, breakfast in bed, and reading and drinking coffee for hours at a time. Lee learned lots during the course and also got downtime to run, read and drink lots of coffee. It was a perfect getaway for us and I am so thankful that we were able to go!
