About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

Greer turns two!

Our little man turned two on Saturday! He is growing by leaps and bounds, both in height and in his language skills and physical prowess.
Trucks, cars, balls and the like are beloved right now. He loves to sing, dance and "play play".
He is 27lbs and in the 80%th percentile for height. We love you, Gman!

Da Da

Extra time with Daddy was especially appreciated this long weekend.
Lee got to participate in our day-to-day a little bit more and share in the Chick-fil-A meal post a YMCA workout. Above, Greer is always a happy man with his ice cream cone.

Happy Fourth!

We have had a really nice action-packed, long Fourth of July weekend! We were able to spend time with friends and both sides of our family at the lake and at homes, enjoying the company, sunshine, rain and food!

Papa turns 87!

On June 18 Papa celebrated his latest birthday and we were able to bring lunch and a sweet treat over to his house to celebrate. It was extra special in that Lee and both girls could join us as well, as it was on a Saturday. We are so grateful to be near Papa and to have the children get to know their paternal great-grandfather. We love you, Papa Jay!

Greer at 23mos

Our Greer is quite the little guy these days. He is saying so much, like " oh man, wow, agua, mas, no no, tick-tock, sissy, shoe" and much more.

He is exuberant about life. He shrieks and screams in delight (and frustration!) about Popsicles, going outside, playing with trucks and watching construction sites. He is beginning to love reading books and has a few favorites, like the animal sounds book or the "little people" flap books.

He is ready to be a "big boy Greer" and wants to do all that his big sisters are doing. He is generally a good eater and a good sleeper although at times we may only have one good meal a day and he may wake periodically here and there. He still loves his pacifier at night, which is all my doing. I have let it go way too long and must address this very soon.

He is about 26 pounds and all boy. Just in the last few days he ate a lot of sand, broke a vase, broke a lamp, and shattered a few things at the grocery store. Daddy is so proud.

Muffins with Moms 2016

For Mother's Day the preschool has a "muffins with mom" breakfast each year. This one was extra special as both rooms for Greer and Sawyer had something special for me. I feel like I've already had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Taekwondo

This is Sullivan's second for year of taekwondo class. She is really loving it and just received her camo level belt. She loves the idea of protecting herself and I think it is great for the self-discipline and self-confidence. Hopefully Sawyer will join her in the afterschool class next year.
