Check up!

We had a thorough check up this Monday for Sullivan's 18 month marker. She very bravely endured multiple prods, pokes and 3 terrible shots. Ouch! She is lookin' good and healthy, although still a "small fry" in the 25% for height (30 in) and weight (22 lbs), but her head circumference is in the 64% which Lee feels good about. She has a continuous and normal growth pattern, so Dr. Clark assured me all is well and not to worry about her size/height. We've recently tried Triple Paste Ointment to deal with our raging diaper rash and it seems to be worth its pricey price. We'll see...Her recent rashes have been so bad that she was bleeding in areas and her wince and wail as I changed her was tortuous for both of us! Ah!
We saw a new doctor this go around and she asked some poignant parenting questions for me like...
-How are you discipling Sullivan?
-Are you brushing her teeth? How is that working out?
-Is she showing signs for potty-training readiness?

Gulp. Our baby is no longer a baby! I feel like kindergarten is around the corner!

Catie & Lee:
I enjoyed seeing the posts for Oct. 1st and this one. Very nice! Sullivan looks good thank the Lord, and I pray that that annoying rash is just about gone. I should doctor my rash also. Thanks to you and Sullivan for the wake-up call to do so. Have a blessed day. It's a nice day here in Phila., but the winds are picking up after the morning downpour. Thank the Lord for it all. God bless you.

Look at those adorable pictures! Gosh, how Sullivan has grown and changed over the course of just a few months! She is just a joy and I sure loved my cuddles and hugs that she so willingly shared with me this morning :) You should be a proud mommy (and daddy, too!) and it won't be long until that first date..ah!

Hi Catie! What a precious little bundle you guys have! Have you tried Resinol diaper rash creme yet? Barbara Steineker is a pediatrician and told us about it. It is not prescription, but sometimes the pharmacy keeps it behind the counter. It's not cheap either- but works! I hope Sullivan feels better soon!

Time flies by too quickly! Regarding the diaper rash...Have you tried Greer's goo? Compound pharmacies make it, I think. A friend had good results with that. Cazin has the same problem with horrible diaper rashes. My homemade mixture that clears it up quickly (learned it from my PICU days): Zinc (desitin), A&D, Lotrimin (1:1:1)& a tad of neosporin.
