About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

SullySpeak

At 2 years 8mos, Sullivan is saying the most hilarious things these days and I need to remember them! Here is my most recent list of her statements:

-Good girl, Mommy! Good girl! ( I think her teachers must say this to her!)
-Oh...Sullly needs a Diet Coke!
-Excuse us! (When she should say "excuse me!")
-Oh baby so cute!
-Is this my shirt? So pretty!
-Where Daddy go? Daddy to the work? Mommy so sad? (this one almost made me cry!)
-Jingle Beals Jingle Beals, Jingle all da WAY...Oh mac done it is to HEY! Jingle Beals...
-Oh! poo poo comin!
-Ho Ho comin...got to say "please" and "thank you" and got to share!
-(Mommy coughs) Drink yer juice, Mommy! Drink yer juice!

She keeps me on my toes!!! Ha!

Furman football!

We got to join some family friends at a Furman tailgate two weeks ago. Sullivan loved seeing the parade of cheerleaders, band members and football players. We were only able to stay for the tailgate, but we did see the first few minutes of the game...a great morning! Check out the "pine cone treatment" above that poor Lee received from Sullivan as she was on his shoulders!? Ha!

First time for tricks or treats!

Lee with Emma Foret the bumblebee and Sullivan the ballerina princess, watching on...

Sullivan the ballerina princess and Sawyer the kitten!

This was the first year that Sullivan was interested in trick or treating and actually was able to fully participate in Halloween! We strolled the neighborhood this year with our dear friends, Shane and Jonathan, and realized that we have shared 3 of the 4 last Halloweens with them...first with no children, then each with one, and now each with two! So fun! We got to attend a neighborhood party and even made it to about 6-8 houses. Sullivan adopted the phrase "please!" instead of "trick or treat!" as she made it to each doorstep!

Hands on Halloween

Colleen and Jana snuggle Sawyer.
Leaving Fall for Greenville. Note Sullivan holding Sawyer's hand.

My first photo with both of my girls!? Only took 4 weeks to get one...
Colleen and Sawyer.

Hand holding in the stroller...

Hand issues on the porch...

The girls hands have been both difficult to work with in photos and the feature presentation in a few others...
We had a wonderful visit with Colleen (Lee's Mom) and our family friend, Jana, this past weekend. Thank you for coming, you two! We had a fantastic time and appreciate the loot, the decorating and warm company!

Close ups

A few sweet moments of the four of us recently...I particularly love the "daddy pushup" above. Sullivan thinks that Daddy's exercising is simply a perfect vehicle for her! And Sawyer napping on his chest is so priceless!
All is going fairly smoothly at our house. Sullivan does have challenging moments, but for the most part is embracing "turn taking" with Mommy and is now very eager to care for Sawyer and bring her a paci, let her eat when she eats, make sure we take her everywhere we go, etc. She is really taking to big sisterhood!
