First day of first grade

Sullivan had a great first day meeting her new teacher, Mrs.
Bell. She has a great group of new and old friends in her classroom of 19. She is officially a first grader!

Tuesdays with Papa

Another nice thing about being in Montgomery, is being near Lee's grandfather, Papa, 86. I have taken Sawyer almost weekly to see him and this past week was Greer's first time. I list my own grandparents long ago, so it is very special to now have Lee's family in my life.

Greer at 4 weeks

Our little man is doing great and getting bigger, I hope. We have some really good nights and a few difficult nights.
The girls are very sweet to him and want to help hold him and put his pacifier in...mostly they do so gently.
First grade seems to be going well also, although Sullivan is worn out and ready for the weekend!

Greer, day 11

Sullivan recently asked, "will he drive a big truck and go hunting?" Daddy smiled.



Greer continues to do well at home and I am feeling pretty great. Although I seem to feed him all day long, he does go for a 5-6hr stretch at night which makes it worth it. The girls are adjusting well and love to hold him, no signs of jealousy as of yet. We are settling into a nice dynamic as a family of five.

Greer Augustus Murphy

Baby boy coming early!

At 11:15p last night my water broke and Lee and I came into the hospital. I am now 38wks4days. So, here we are still at 5:45a the next morning waiting on baby! Epidural in and they have started pitocin...we should have baby soon!
This feels surreal; my first time to go into labor on my own.
So excited!

The Fourth of July

We spent our fourth with Lee's parents on Lake Martin. Lee had a great run of fishing and the girls loved looking on and casting their own lines. It was a great time!

Sullivan discovered a dragonfly who had newly molted wings. He was not ready to fly and kept close to her for a whole day!
