About Me

My photo
This is my "snapshot scrapbook" of our daily doings for my children and family. I hope to preserve the "everyday" for my children and for us so that we can always read it and remember.

Good times in Montgomery

We went home for a quick Thurs-Sunday visit this past weekend and got to enjoy my nephew's 7th birthday party, lots of playtime with cousin Josephine (above), tons of kisses and love from grandparents, a dinner out for me and Lee Friday night, and Lee even got to go to the LSU-AL game on Saturday night. A great time, but whew! we are exhausted now! More photos to come...

Boo in the Zoo

My little strawberry loves her apples.
Sawyer practiced her scariest "hands in mouth" look...

I love Bugs! I...LOVE...BUGS! ----Muno, Yo Gabba Gabba

Dear Mrs. Phillips...

Can you please share your secret for getting Sullivan to pose as she does for you at school?

Baby Love

Katie gathered with the hostesses.

Catie and Katie.

Honey and Sullivan, a.k.a Belle.

Gigi steals a kiss mid-pretzel time. Sawyer isn't enthused.

This past weekend, thanks to much help from my generous in-laws, I was able to visit Montgomery, AL. In addition to nice visits with family, I was able to take a day-trip (alone!) to Birmingham, to celebrate my dear college friend Katie and her first child, due in December. Being at her baby shower was so important and meaningful to me as I had missed participating her wedding in April of 2008, having delivered Sullivan a few weeks beforehand.

What a special thing to celebrate Katie and see her sweet high school friends! In true high southern form, it was an event to remember complete with thoughtful, handmade gifts, sweet tea and harvey wallbangers, a "feather her nest" theme and adorable cookies, iced to look like baby onesies.

Many thanks to my dear parents-in-law for "manning the fort" and affording me such indulgences as evenings out to run errands/shop as well as my "day to myself".

Buddy Walk 2011

I love this one! Blake, Dane and Sullivan are dancing with joy to the music!

Our crowd! Blake and Dane in the wagon, Sullivan and Lola in strollers, and me, Beth and Lauren behind them.

Our best attempt at a posed picture.

Having lunch...apparently stylish sunglasses are needed for Sullivan to fully enjoy the meal.

Sullivan and I joined our dear friends The Hollenbecks to celebrate their son Blake and participate in the Annual Buddy Walk here in Greenville. It was a gorgeous, crisp, sunny Sunday and the kiddos enjoyed themselves so much with the great food, treats, games, music and weather. We are so glad that we participated in this special event!
