As you can imagine, we are perhaps enjoying the town more than Lee at present, as he is working hard! He began his fellowship in Sports Medicine August 1 and hit the ground running, literally! Moving among four different hospitals all over town and trekking into parts unknown for team physicals, while taking call and planning research projects, has kept he very busy and away. He does feel strongly that he is getting a great experience and we trust in that. I am excited for him and we are doing our best to love him when we get our hands on him!
In the meantime, here are some snapshots of our recent outings and doings and here is a list of things I don't want to forget and need to include in a loveletter to my girls...
-Sawyer double-fisting handfuls of fries as we leave a restaurant, smiling in delight.
-Sullivan singing at the top of her lungs her made-up songs in the car, at meal times, in shops, in restaurants...
-Sawyer insisting on "eskimo kisses" while I sing her lullabies.
-Sullivan's precise and intricate art projects that she spends up to an hour creating.
-Sawyer calling her milk "nuck", although she can fully say "milk" and "leche".
-The girls referring to one another as "sissy", very lovingly.
-Sullivan's sheer excitement as go on an adventure just before her bedtime: twilight searches for bats or bugs, collecting the trash and recycling bins from our long driveway, running in our new cul-de-sac...
Ahh...
childhood really is calling.
Lord, help me always answer it with my girls!

Watching me on the tv screen at the Children's Musuem...
